Twenty-six houses and apartments, most having direct access to their boats, with familiar urban features - front doors addressing the street, a lane, square, river bridge, tower, arch and jetty - mixed uses - boat building and repairs continue in new sheds together with a chandlery - all conceived as an inclusive part of Christchurch rather than as an exclusive enclave.
